Description

This application takes into account things like where the vessel is geographically, how long the voyage will take, how much fuel will be consumed, port costs, tank size. It takes all of this info plus some more to calculate revenue generated. This information needs to be calculated and returned to the business user not fast but rather, instantaneous. This new app will be more robust and much faster and to do so, they are using Silverlight as the main technology. It's all UI. Our consultant will not be doing much on the database layer. We are only concerned with the UI. They are building a 'line of business' application so they are currently looking to make the app functional versus making the UI pretty. 10+ years experience UI coding grid and forms based apps in Silverlight.
Additional Job Info It is an Agile environment. They do things real time with the business as far as business specs are concerned; they do their own testing (Unit testing would be good to have). Releases are rolled out very 6 weeks (Agile). Consultant will be working with the Director, 2 other developers and the PM. Other than 2 developers in London and Singapore, that is the entire IT team. In a nutshell, here it is 10 + years web based User Interface development experience; current with Silverlight (released in '07, the more years the better, dont want to look at anyone w/ less than 2 years); C#.Net 3.5 (or 4.0) framework, WCF (also WPF would be a huge plus), PRISM, experience in Agile environment. Doing things in UI development including mouse rollovers, inline editing, historicals, message board, autocompletes, indexes, expands.
