2. 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries 3. 5+ years of experience writing and optimizing stored procedures, views, functions, and helping create ER diagrams Job Description Augusta Sportswear, a leading manufacturer of athletic apparel located in the Augusta, GA area, is seeking a Database Developer. They are looking for an experienced database developer to join their inhouse Applications Development team in collaboration with many other departments across the enterprise and within the IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high performance databases, queries, and applications built on DB2 LUW and DB2 for iSeries.
Day to day Can analyze database components and address performance tuning needs including query optimization
Uses their technology background and available technologies to develop efficient, reliable, and scalable database solutions, following a full Software Development Life Cycle process.
Effectively coordinates with project team members to define application requirements and identify business needs.
Determines whether the stated requirements are clear, complete, consistent, and unambiguous, and works to resolve conflicts.
Analyzes business requirements, and communicates their technical solutions to the team and to end users.
Identifies technical risks associated with the development of a technical solution.
Works with the team to break down project tasks and estimates.
Knows their tools and how to be effective and efficient with them
Thoroughly tests their solutions (unit and integration testing)
Provides a high level of customer service to business partners and end users to achieve satisfaction with deployment of new features and resolution of problems.
