ETl Developer with Data modeling Experience

Description

Description Defines and plans data base architecuture for enterprise systems. Responsible for enterprisewide data design, optimization, and resource utilization. Knowledge of construction and design of data architectures, data modeling, and database design. Oversees the technical design, development, and maintenance of databases and master files on large complex projects. Follows data architecture standards, policies and procedures, and classification of data elements. Responsible for design, implementation, recovery and load strategy. Analyzes and projects longrange space requirements. Communicates architectural approaches and makes database structural recommendations. Coordinates with other Information Systems departments to ensure implementation of databases and monitoring of database performance. Ensures architectural integrity and consistency across the entire project. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field. Ability to manage multiple assignments. Superior written and oral communication skills. 610+ years of experience. Work with internal and external data providers and subject matter experts to understand data sources and formats, manage the impact of data source structure and content changes on data pipelines, support the provider relationship, understand and influence the data provider roadmap of planned changes, and advocate for additional data sets and elements to improve delivered data products Solid understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse ETL design and be able to apply these suitably to an organization. Design and develop ETL work packages on multiple projects, and be able to demonstrate expertise using Informatica, Data stage and other tools. Ability to follow functional ETL specifications and challenge business logic and schema design. Strong experience working with multiple database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, DB2 Create and link data universes using multiple data providers Maintain metadata with data definitions, relationships, sources, and consumers Must have a strong understanding and ability to script in Advanced Transact SQL Perform aggregation and overrides as needed Extensive Experience in using ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage and others Exposure to noSQL databases like Cassandra and MongoDB. Ability to design, develop, test, monitor, and troubleshoot our environment using ETL/Data Virtualization toolsets (e.g. Talend, Denodo, PL/SQL) Ensure quality and accuracy of the data mapped from staging environments to the target reporting environments Develop ETL audits and controls to ensure quality of data meets or exceeds defined standards and thresholds defined by the business customer Contribute to the companys Data Modeling (data warehouse and data virtualization) strategy and roadmap Actively participate in Data Governance initiatives led by the business Maintain knowledge of new technologies and methods for area of expertise and have knowledge sharing sessions with the team Develop ETL audits and controls to ensure quality of data meets or exceeds defined standards and thresholds defined by the business customer
