Job Description Specifically I am looking for someone with experience in Creating complex stored procedures in the Teradata database Proficiency in SQL query development and performance Proficiency with Unix/Linux shell scripts Experience with formal data warehouse architecture Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Telecom experience is a plus but not a deal breaker. Im not looking for an ETL developer who has only worked in Informatica, as we do not use Informatica in our little world. I am specifically looking for someone who has created complex stored procedures within the Teradata database
Project Details ETL candidates will be working as a team of 2 people in order to take a deep dive into a legacy oracle database of TWC. They will be uploading this database to Teradata eventually but need the BA to document and create an entire roadmap of what is in there, what the structure is, what are the most used fields, etc. They need all this analysis done so that they can move onto the actual project of moving it into Teradata and creating custom reports in microstrategy. He is looking at these roles as a research position to see what is exactly in the this database and roadmap it. MustHave Skills (Stack rank in order of priority. Most critical skill listed first & what they need to be capable of doing with each technology) 1. Good communication. ability to speak well and in front of teammates 2. ETL development experience with Teradata (performance tuning, data optimization, and analysis)
3. 3 years of experience in a Teradata environment (able to use heavy SQL coding and stored procedure generation) Job titles will likely be Teradata Developer or Teradata ETL Developer

Daily Responsibilities Additional Details JOB SUMMARY
The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for the administration and development of ETL processes in support of analytics and reporting functions. ETL Administration includes automation, monitoring, and alerts for ETL processes. ETL development includes bringing data from various sources in support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, or adhoc analytics. The developer will also be responsible for insuring data integrity, and providing detailed documentation of developed processes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Responsible for the ongoing operation of the data warehouse and analytic environments to include advanced technical issues such as ETL performance tuning.
Design extensions and enhancements and ability to enhance the schema and ETL process in order to provide functionality and performance.
Manage data integrity and accuracy of the data warehouse data and analytic environments.
Develop optimized SQL to implement ETL job steps using ETL tools such as Informatica.
Monitor, diagnose and repair all data loading and processing packages to ensure data integrity of the analysis data.
Support ongoing user issues in the use of the systems.
Communicate data warehouse and enhancements to the DBA from the requested analysis enhancements.
Perform data profiling to insure efficient and accurate delivery of data.
Other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Proficiency in SQL query development and performance
Proficiency with Unix/Linux shell scripts
Fully trained on the operation of Informatica, or other ETL tools
Experience in developing Informatica, or other ETL tools
Experience with formal data warehouse architecture
Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Proven ability and desire to learn and apply current technology to data analysis solutions
Experience with business information reconciliation
Experience with training staff on the use of ETL tools
Experience in designing data warehouse schema from business requirements
