Description
ob Description Architect & develop Extract, Transfer, Load processes (ETLs) for Teradata Data Warehouse (DW) using Informatica.
Review legacy ETL and develop a plan to migrate the legacy ETLs to Informatica.
Informatica Admin knowledge to help NY&Co with Informatica Admin issues.
Create dimensional models.
Architect/develop data pipelines from Promo Management to Teradata (with or without Informatica).
Architect/develop data pipelines from Omniture to Teradata (with or without Informatica).
Be involved in any onsiteoffshore coordination.
Provide on call production support which involves handling NY&Co DW production issues (Unix BTEQ & Informatica) during critical batch window (6 PM 6 AM ET for 2 out of every 4 weeks).
Any other task/activity as requested by NY&Co that falls within the scope of an ETL developer
Analysis of Business Requirements Document
Expectation would be to architect and develop Teradata DW ETLs from different source system/ Error handling / SCD / Develop/Architect junk dimensions to handle ETL performance data. Act as a lead / Documenting etc.
Build & Review Design & UAT Test Cases Documents
Informatica ETL Coding and Unit Testing
Writing Teradata load scripts and unit testing
Reviewing code and setting up the standard
Support for SIT & UAT activities for bug fix
Support for Production Deployment
Proficiency in Informatica Power Center 9.6/10.1.x or higher (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor).
Complete understanding of code promotion activities and best practices.Experience with Windows Scripting including troubleshooting.Experience with multiple database platforms including Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2 iSeries
Rotating on call production support which involves handling NYCO DW production issues during critical batch window (12 AM 9 AM. Two weeks out of 4 weeks)
