Responsibilities
The Salesforce Technical Specialist will be an integral part of the IT team supporting business users within the Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Engineering departments of ADS. Salesforce is the primary software used by these operations. The Salesforce Technical Specialist will work closely with the Salesforce support team to develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions to meet project objectives and business goals.
The Salesforce Technical Specialist should have a working knowledge of business functions relevant to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Engineering, and be able to work closely with users in these areas to suggest solutions within the Salesforce application. Proficiency in Apex, VisualForce, MySQL, and JavaScript are required. Experience with the range of Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, CPQ, Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Service Cloud, etc.) is preferred but not required.
Primary Job Responsibilities Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Engineering.
Collaborate with the existing Salesforce support team at ADS and with our external consultant team to develop new solutions to drive business growth.
Manage daily support and maintenance of existing Salesforce Lightning instance and conduct longterm improvements.
Interact directly with internal clients, management, consultants, and end users to understand project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, workflows, and customized applications.
Provide ongoing Salesforce administration support, especially related to customizations, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows.
Job Skills Strong communicator with excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
General understanding of ADSs business model, current strategic and tactical plans, and operations.
General knowledge of sales operations, customer service, and engineering business processes.
Past performance of following through on commitments.
Understanding of the Salesforce support site for research.
Experience working in an IT environment, including experience with project management and QA testing basics.
Selfmotivated and creative.
Ability to translate business requirements and communicate system design / development options back to business users.
Educational Requirements Bachelors or associate degree with preferred major in IT, MIS, or Business.
2+ years experience Apex coding.
1+ year experience with Salesforce Lightning framework.
2+ years experience in Salesforce support.
Working knowledge of VisualForce, MySQL, and JavaScript.
Preferred Experience Salesforce certification.
Experience developing customerfacing user interfaces.
Experience supporting Sales, Customer Service, Call Centers, and/or Engineering
Experience with Wave Analytics.
CPQ (configure, price, quote) system experience is a plus
