This position will provide the business with an individual possessing a broad expertise of abilities to support the needs for process design and improvement throughout the Companys operations. S/he will work with the Director of IT to maintain and support all solutions utilized within the US and Canada Operations. This position will constantly be dealing with multiple tasks, some of which will include but are not limited to remote user support, troubleshooting systems, training employees on new business processes, logging development tasks in our Development Management System, documenting, designing, testing and deploying new functions Documenting new requirements for the business. Identify processes that are good candidates for our continuous improvement initiative. Conduct costing/financial analysis of current processes and the potential opportunities for improvement. Perform high level discoveries outlining the challenges of current processes that are candidates for continuous improvement. Document and map out current business processes. Participate on the team responsible for developing complete internal process solutions ranging from queries to process development through to reporting that supports the process. Participate in managing assigned Help Desk tickets. Provide new user instructional training and add to a library of training information for new hires. Collaborate with others in the IT department and support teams to complete design and testing documentation. Create Report Specifications for development by other team members. Responsible for the maintenance and tracking of developed and process issues. Travel to Houwelings sites throughout Canada and USA. Develop plans that will outline the approach to successfully implement continuous improvement projects within the organization. Leverage Microsoft Dynamics AX, Marco, and Priva environments for production, staging, and development. Cooperate with vendors and partners on new implementation and upgrade projects. Supporting and designing mobile solutions. Qualifications The position requires a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain management, Business Administration or a computer related discipline. Skills/Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio. Demonstrate documentation, mapping and analytical skills. Project management and time management skills. Strong work ethic, integrity, reliability. Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail required. Demonstrates initiative to continuously look for improvements, efficiencies or cost savings. Adaptable and flexible. Ability to multitask and manage priorities. Detail oriented and a desire to solve problems. Very comfortable working within a team environment. Working Environment General Office environment, Packhouse, Greenhouse and Shipping operations. This role may require tasks that involve being outside and in a production environment.
