Responsibilities Develops the program strategy, supporting business case and various enterprise‐wide high‐level project plan Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership and IT Business Consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the IT project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise Works under general direction of senior level management Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the program Directs and mentors a team of project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff Daily Tasks Performed Managing a specific project (This Program Manager will have one assigned project) Will coordinate and drive other Projects in the Program Conducting status meetings as required Projects in the program will be a mix of local and remote therefore requiring virtual meeting to support. Compliance to SOX and Honda IT Project Methodology of all projects within the program. Utilize Waterfall methodology within well established PMO process Academic/Experience/Competency Bachelor's in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience. Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred. Advanced ability in successfully managing complex, enterprise‐wide IT programs. Advanced understanding and ability to successfully manage complex program and project budgets Advanced ability in mitigating risk and implementing contingency plans Oversees implementation of program and project plans, monitors progress, resource usage and quality, and makes needed adjustments Sets/evolves the vision of how project management should be done Advanced knowledge of multiple project management strategies, disciplines, and theories Advanced ability to implement project management strategies, disciplines, and theories into a shared vision.
