Job Description
Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI) is seeking a Salesforce.com CRM Architect to join their Global CRM Team at our corporate headquarters in Lancaster, PA. This position will work within Armstrong Floorings IT department and directly with line of business subject matter experts to define business process and design the future of Salesforce at Armstrong. We are looking for an individual capable of delivering innovative solutions to meet global business needs. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. They would feel equally comfortable presenting problems and solutions to both technical and nontechnical audiences as well as business leadership. The ideal candidate would be well organized, eager to learn new technologies, able to adapt quickly, and work autonomously.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop vision for CRM capabilities at Armstrong and assist in the creation and maintenance of multiyear roadmaps
Analyze business process and architect scalable solutions to increase operational maturity
Lead the design and development of strategic projects on the Salesforce.com platform, identifying and proposing innovative out of box capabilities
Provide input on and execution of strategies to enhance company performance in the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service areas
Proactively work as part of a team of vendors, developers, business analysts, and line of business SMEs to design and develop optimal solutions that meets business needs and long term support objectives
Lead/guide mixed team of vendor and staff developers ensuring efficient application solutions are delivered utilizing established standards, procedures, and methodologies
Establish and maintain environment specific governance standards and best practices to complement existing Salesforce standards
Configure/Develop enhancements ranging from small requests to large scale project activities
Proactively identify tool limitations and provide guidance/options to avoid long term customizations
Release and Environment Management including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons and version control
Own and drive resolution of problems and incidents
Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in Information Technology
35 years of experience as a Salesforce developer
1 year of experience implementing solutions in Lightning
1 year of experience with Salesforce Communities
1 year of experience at technical lead of medium to large scale projects
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or similar discipline
Experience with custom Salesforce.com objects as well as Opportunities, Leads, Accounts, Cases, Knowledge
Strong understanding of the Salesforce.com security model
Experience working with custom page layouts, Visual Force pages, and Lightning
Experience driving solutions collaboratively with a mixed team of IT and business SMEs or on independent assignments
Experience working with remote resources
Experience working directly with a Sales and Support organization
Experience working with KANBAN boards and understanding of AGILE methodologies
Other Skills and Abilities Significant configuration experience with Salesforce.com or other enterpriselevel CRM tools. Indepth understanding of multicompany interactions for Account and Contact Management, Opportunity Management, Price Management, Team Selling, Samples Management, Case and Complaint Management, Contact Centers, and Marketing Fulfillment processes. Direct experience with global and regional system implementations.
Certified Salesforce Platform Developer; Application Architect preferred Sixsigma certifications or experience
Prior experience working in a global manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills; proven ability to quickly identify root cause
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and distribution
Strong knowledge of pricing models
Experience with ETL tools like Scribe, Demand Tools, DBAmp, etc
