Wintel Administrator with PowerShell Scripting

Job Description Core Technical Skills Required 10+ Years of Windows Server Administration and Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2 operating systems and understanding of basic Microsoft networking
Performs regular system maintenance, backups, hardware and software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations and performance tuning
Good knowledge of Windows PowerShell scripting, SCCM, WSUS.
Active directory Administration and AD task automation using PowerShell IIS Administration Good Knowledge on Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft Certificate Services Good knowledge on WMI Deep and Broad networking knowledge
Exposure to network administration, Microsoft messaging, database and other applications, SAN, backup and storage, batch scripts
Very good understanding of Virtualization platforms like VMWare and Microsoft HyperV
Scripting Skills required Strong experience with relevant scripting and programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, C, VBScript, DOS, Bash etc.
Fair knowledge on Python but not mandatory
Writing new scripts, modifying existing scripts to automate task related to system.
Migrating .bat file to PowerShell and python.
Write script to repeated task on Windows environment and Linux Environment Implement and initiate as much automation as possible to reduce the overall efforts and focuses on documenting.
Responsibilities Responsible in automating server builds on virtualization platforms [VMware & HyperV] and on Azure cloud Automate repeated task on Active Directory like user creation/deletion, Group Management, Group policies management Automated and Scheduled server, services restarts based on alerts from monitoring system
SelfHealing activities like Password reset, Password unlock using PowerShell Scripts
Creating PowerShell scripts to automate disk space cleanup and moving logs from one server to another servers Automated backups and Job Scheduling Create scripts to create application packages and deploying. Create scripts to inventory third party application on Windows Clients and Servers.
Education & Certifications Bachelors degree in computer related area is required.
Microsoft MCSE, RCHE certified professionals Tools Certification [SolarWinds, Microsoft SCOM Certified] Added advantage
