Identifies the flexibility speed of implementation quality scalability supportability and cost of ownership of the solutions being implemented Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies platforms and vendor offerings and drives targeted business outcomes while maintaining alignment with the overall enterprise architecture practices Creates detailed architectural specifications to document the architecture decisions; communicates the architectural specifications to designers developers contractors and business sponsors in a directly actionable clear and unambiguous manner Definesprinciples guidelines standards and solution patterns and ensures adoption and use of those standards Collaborates with Enterprise Architect team to review solution designs and any new implementation or introduction of new technologies to ensure compliance with Medline standards Works closely with ITleaders and application owners to maintain current application and technical inventories and future roadmaps in the Supply Chain & Logistics portfolio Works closely with architects in different areas to ensure solution designs meet functional and non-functional requirements such as security compliance system scalability and reliability Keeps current on technology trends both in the industry as a whole and with the applications deployed in the Medline landscape including researching and implementing new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages
Description

Medline Industries has an opening for an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Solution Architect. The role of the architect is to work with IT leaders, functional, and technical teams to define, document, educate, implement, and support solutions to meet business objectives. He/she will work with IT leaders, functional, and technical teams throughout the design and implementation of objectives to ensure that the overall composition of the solution meets the goals of its sponsors and enterprise architecture practices.

Responsibilities
  • · 10+ years of experience in multiple IT solution development disciplines, including application architecture design and development, system integration, DevOps, Security & Compliance, and infrastructure architecture
  • · Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as senior-level executives
  • · Large-scale enterprise platform rationalization, modernization and transformation experience
  • · Full lifecycle Knowledge of the Supply Chain & Logistics architectural domain
  • o Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management, RF Handheld Applications, Product Labeling and Scanning, Labor Management Systems, Branch Infrastructure, Enterprise Interoperability and Services
  • o Branch Automation including Voice-Directed Inventory Handling, Goods-to-Person (G2P) Robotics, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV/VGV), Print-and-Apply Labeling, Conveyance Routing
  • o Information Governance, Security and Compliance (DevSecOps)
  • · Experience with Distribution Branch Operations roles, requirements, processes and SLAs
  • · Natural leader skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making
  • · Experience in working with multi-site global teamsand Agile/SCRUM delivery model
Educational Requirements
  • · Experience designing secure platformssupporting the Healthcareindustry and familiarity with PHI, PII, PCI and HIPAA compliance requirements
  • · Expert knowledge in warehouse management solutions such as Aptean-Catalyst, Manhattan, SAP, etc.
  • · Experience with automation solutions from Lucas Voice, SwissLog, Knapp, Vecna
  • · Experience with enterprise service and micro-service standardization and implementation
  • · Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
  • · Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL development, Java, as well as system administration
  • · Extensive knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools such as AppDynamics, ExtraHop, etc.
  • · Experience with Azure Cloud-based architecture
  • · Partnership with application delivery teams, which includes unit testing, CI/CD (i.e Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps), security testing, performance and load testing.
