Desktop Architect

Job Summary Software is looking to hire a Desktop Architect. This role will be responsible for product enhancements, system
configuration and technical expertise for the CSA team, designing and developing the systems and images with uptodate
OS patches and updates.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and test our corporate laptop and desktop images. Maintain our corporate laptop and desktop
images uptodate with latest Operating System updates and patches
Undertake design, development, and testing of application packaging for automated deployment, self service, or
manual installation
Undertake design, development, and testing of Group Policy Objects and/or other policies for automated
deployment or manual execution
Design, develop, and test all approved applications to current supported versions and work with the application
owners on what should be included or not
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in managing one to two of our users systems via SCCM/JAMF
Work with the Client Problem Management team to create requirements, develop enhancements and/or fixes to
production end user environments
Maintain uptodate documentation of Software's systems, policies and supported applications
Present verbal and written recommendations to Technology Services management promoting improvements to
achieve operational excellence
Assist in evaluating new hardware and peripherals to improve UltiPeep productivity and simplify work lives
Required Qualifications A minimum of 2 years experience with laptops, desktops, hardware and software
A minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft based platforms (SCCM, JAMF, Office, Bitlocker, Windows
Server)
A minimum of 2 years experience with VMWare Virtualization technologies
Strong ability to enhance desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO),
and with Active Directory and GPO's/GPP's as well as the ability to create custom policies
Understanding of network connectivity, security and accessibility required
Must have strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows, Network Topologies, SCCM, Jamf Pro and HorizonView
management and systems security best practices
