Job Description Position Description As a member of the Digital Health Remote Presence Information Technology team at Medtronic, you will be responsible to design, develop, implement and support software solutions leveraging Medtronics IoT, cloud services, mobile, and analytics technologies. You will be responsible for engaging with product development core teams and the broader IT organization to ensure successful delivery and launch of smart connected products. In this IT role, you will support the business R&D teams to ensure product connection and data movement to/from the Device Connectivity platform (PTC ThingWorx). You will be accountable for leveraging Agile methodologies to develop, deliver, and maintain solutions ontime and onbudget. Position Responsibilities Work independently with business analysts and endusers to understand business customer requirements, architecture, and other project documentation Use best practices to design and implement software that meets the business requirements Assist with software quality assurance test planning and development Plan and create documentation such as user guides, knowledge base articles, and application notes Partner with IT peers in other business units and geographies to ensure solutions meet global standards and are flexible enough to meet local needs Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of creativity, and innovativeness Ensure proper validation documentation is created for all projects (i.e. Medtronic System Compliance Methodology (MSCM)) Maintain all software versions in a source code control system Learn and become the subject matter expert for the Device Connectivity platform (i.e., PTC ThingWorx) Provide support for deployed agent software and user interface development, where applicable. Maintain insight to current best practices for the Device Connectivity platform and how they can be applied to Medtronic Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices Basic Qualifications IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME Minimum of 23 years of development experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field Experience with REST API, HTML, JavaScript/CSS, Node.js, Tomcat Apache, Linux and SQL databases Familiarity with cloud services and the components which encompass an IoT enabled solution Comfortable multitasking, resolving competing priorities, and meeting project deadlines Excellent interpersonal communication skills and of exceptional character Decisive, actionoriented individual who learns quickly, works independently, and creates solutions Desired/Preferred Qualifications Experience with C, C++, Lua Scripting, Gitlab preferred Internet of Things (IoT) solutions supporting Healthcare and Medical Devices Knowledge of PKI management solutions useful Experience with analytics platforms and best practices Experience leveraging Agile Project Management Techniques and Methodologies Knowledge and experience in the medical device industry Experience in the applications development and support of integrated business and systems architecture Experience in business process definition, requirements definition and technology solution research Experience in facilitating small to large groups through challenging discussions Goal oriented, task driven decisionmaking with a strong sense of accountability Excellent leadership and team work skills Strong interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills Experience working in a startup environment is extremely useful
