Network Engineer

Description

This position reports to the Director, Operations and will be primarily responsible for leading or participating in support, maintenance, and administration of their telecommunications and computing infrastructure.
Key activities will include Evaluating, recommending and leading concurrent or complex infrastructure implementation projects. Providing analysis and recommendation of products, services, and strategic direction. The successful candidate will be technically proficient and strong in customer service delivery while demonstrating a high level of professionalism, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment and under pressure is required.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher and eight years experience as a network analyst required. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be substituted. Demonstrated proficiency in network design, security, management, and administration. Must have current experience with SCCM, NSX, and ISE. Experience with Data Domain equipment and Firepower. Strong background and experience in a variety of current, relevant technologies such as Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, VMware, Server OS, SD WAN, VPN, and software distribution technologies. Indepth understanding of network and telecommunication hardware, software, and firmware. Must have a strong desire and ability to acquire new skills and knowledge of technology products and best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage complex infrastructure projects. Must have strong written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze industry trends and products and to evaluate them against defined organizational needs, and deliver a supported recommendation. MCIPT or MCSE certification required. Additional experience and demonstrated ability may be substituted for certification. Other valued certifications include PMP, CISSP, and MCP.
