ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS As a Web Developer you will be part of a great software development team that expands delivery capabilities of XOOM Energys online presence, which is an energy brand part of NRG Energy. This position is responsible for coding XOOM Energy brand enrollment and portal sites custom functionality, primarily using ASP.NET/MVC. This includes new projects and maintaining the existing code base. The applicant will need to be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist specifically seeking a smaller environment where their potential will be maximized through a diverse and fastpaced work queue. Work with PM/BA and IT Manager to drive development projects through to completion Maintaining and supporting multiple projects and deadlines. Work on Waterfall and Agile (or Hybrid) projects while reporting progress using Jira. Maintaining and creating documentation as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITIES REQUIRED Proven experience with Microsoft .NET Technologies and Visual Studio 4+ Years Web Development Experience with C# and ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms
3+ Years C#, SQL/TSQL, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JSON and XML, REST/SOAP , VB.Net
3+ Years JavaScript 3+ Years SQL Server 2012 and above including writing complex queries and stored procedures Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and support Ability to develop large and smallscale web applications Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces Ability to construct user guides and documentation Willingness to work with others in a team environment in a positive and professional manner Understand ECommerce and Web usability concepts Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail are required Ability to drive projects through to completion
