NOSQL Database Administrator

Description

RESPONSIBILTY Implementing Cassandra database software installs, upgrades, and patches
Conducting regular Cassandra database performance testing and tuning
Capacity planning for Cassandra database storage and memory
Implementing and maintaining operational and disaster recovery procedures
Managing Cassandra database security, user accounts and access privileges
Writing and maintaining UNIX shell scripts for Cassandra database monitoring and automation
Performing complex bug verification, release testing for assigned products
Advising on Cassandra database concepts and functional capabilities
Maintain detailed project plans for and occasionally lead Cassandra DBA/Database Administrator projects
Work on multiple Cassandra database related projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
SKILLS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent working experience
23 years of experience managing NoSQL database systems
Previous experience supporting Oracle databases
Previous experience in Cassandra programming
Previous experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
Working knowledge of UNIX scripting languages
Working knowledge database security management and data integrity concepts
Working knowledge of ETL and query tools
Strong conceptual and analytic skills
