Full Stack Engineer (Big Data/Data Quality)

Description

5+ years experience in SQL programming ability to read/write complex SQL queries to analyze data, investigate systemic defects and validate data quality
5+ years experience in software development using Scala/Java
3 + experience in UI technologies REACT/JavaScript 2 + years of handson knowledge and implementation experience on data quality practices, such as profiling, scorecards and dashboards, KPIs
Extreme attention to detail with excellent problem solving, and communication skills
Independent, energetic, highly technical, and strive for results under pressure and ambiguity
Plusses
Experience in metadata managements solutions and practices
Experience working in a Big Data environment (Cloudera, Hortonworks, Hadoop/Spark) using batch and realtime processing
Proficient in stateoftheart tools and technologies related to data quality data and management like Talend, Calebrea, Pentaho, Foundry etc.
knowledge and implementation experience of MDM , data governance and data stewardship models
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
Day2Day An employer is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the Santa Monica area. In this role, you will contribute to the design, architecture and implementation of a data quality framework. You will work closely with data custodians and data stewards to apply data quality standards and processes across Hulus data systems and services. You will also be implementing data quality and metadata management solutions using industry standard practices as well as custom solutions built in house. In addition, you will certify Hulus KPIs through the endtoend data pipelines, document, automate and enforce data quality methods and solutions, and collaborate with subject matter experts across different business units to deliver trusted data to our users.
