Top 3 Skills MySQL Cloud/ AWS Linux based environment experience Key Responsibilities Proven ability to trouble shoot performance on highly transactional MySQL, MS SQL servers, Working closely with System Engineer and DevOps team to design and implement data platform and performance tuning Working closely with Architecture/Engineering teams to define the standard and best practices Responsible for database recovery planning and execution backup, restore and disaster recovery activities using integrated tools and industry standard 3rd party tools like solarwinds, app dynamics, percona etc. Responsible for physical database design by working with other teams Responsible for tracking metrics (performance, uptime, issues) Responsible for all Root Cause Analysis Responsible for data movement across different environment, different platform using available tool Familiarity within Linux Environments, able to write/maintain scripts (shell and python) Documentation for any type of changes and documentation of standard operating procedures Highly motivated selfstarter, detail and quality oriented and able to work independently and in a team based environment Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment under pressure and in high stress situations, operate in a high transaction supporting 24/7 Ability to manage day to day tasks independently Champion and manage new initiatives to completion to improve and streamline operations processes and maximize systems availability Resolve complex problems that have implications beyond your own area Experience with MySQL replication configuration, MySQL upgrade, Performance Tuning Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms Ability to participate in the oncall rotation for operational issue escalation Ability to make timely and sound decisions Knowledge of migration from a traditional data centre to the cloud Job Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Bachelor's degree and formal coursework in relational database technology is preferred.
4 6 years' recent production support as a DBA on MySQL Server, MS SQL
AWS Cloud experience is a big plus
Experience with relational database technology and large, complex databases
Experience with other data movement tools like MySQL and DMS replication
Mirroring, Replication, Clustering, Failover Database architecture and design
Experience on highly transactional systems with 24/7 up times
Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills

Able to work with Architects, Engineers on Data Modelling and design
Strong trouble shooting and performance tuning ability
Desirable MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgressDB,
