Python Application Developer

Overview Mphasis client is currently seeking a Senior Python Application Developer with strong Linux Experience to join our organization. In this role, the individual will join a dynamic and collaborative environment, encouraging cross team development between other engineering groups and data application departments. Specifically, the individual will join our R&D organization which develops our Separations based Technologies and have the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of our nextgeneration instrument control application suite.
Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to design, implement, test, and document complex framework and application level solutions. This work encompasses solutions involving networked realtime analytical instrumentation systems and their corresponding highlevel, microservice oriented, control logic applications. Collaborate with team members to design, implement and maintain a Linux OS distribution for use in nextgeneration products.
Qualifications A BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree. 3 + years experience object oriented application development in Python (Version 3.x desired) 3 + years experience working with and maintaining a custom Linux distribution. Results oriented with the ability to work independently and selfmanage. Strong OOP, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Experience implementing and debugging distributed multithreaded, multiprocess applications, (python applications desired). Knowledge of SOA design and development principles Additionally desirable Test Driven Development, Docker, C++ development, Application development experience on Linux, UML, REST, WebSockets, Python asyncio, pytest, Open Source Project Management, Linux System administration, Buildroot / Yocto.
