Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Insight Development
Defines business requirements and procures buyin from stakeholders.
Works with the Product Owner to write and refine user stories.
Identifies problems and opportunities captured in user stories that could optimize costs or streamline initiatives across Individual Investors or the enterprise.
Provides insights that help the decisionmaking process or internal stakeholders achieve their goals.
Business Analysis
Provides consultative analytical support to the business team for existing and new deliverables.
Supports the Product Owner and internal stakeholders in evaluating and improving existing analytics, metrics, or key performance indicators (KPI)s.
Uses business knowledge to understand and easily explain how metrics drive performance and KPIs.
Project Management
Provides regular, proactive status updates to the Scrum Master.
Coordinates with Product Owner on all stakeholder communications.
Executes on project priorities and escalates roadblocks to the Scrum Master when applicable.
Consistently documents all phases and related hours of project work.
Interacts with internal stakeholders to evaluate products and product performance.
Participates in backlog grooming sessions, quality control, retrospectives, and sprint planning sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities on highly sensitive projects
Ability to successfully prioritize to meet deliverables
Ability to work collaboratively with others in team environment
Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
Ability to work with all levels within the organization including senior management
Experience improving processes; strong process orientation with a desire to solve business process challenges
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience developing business cases or user stories including current state analysis (financial and operational) or identification of key metrics and modeling the impact of value drivers on metrics
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to form a perspective from incongruous facts through rigorous analysis and problem solving
Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Project Management skills
Experience in financial services industry
Background in business intelligence solutions
Experience working in analytics a plus
Experience with Tableau
Experience working in an Agile environment
