LinkedIn is looking for an Associate Production Engineer to work within LinkedIn's Content Technology Engineering Team. The Production engineer will oversee the global postproduction and live action issue and request queue. You will act as the first point for troubleshooting and technical diagnosis. You will work with the team to implement hardware and software changes across the postproduction environment. Associate Production Engineers are responsible for studio break/fix response, identifying ticket trends, driving break/fix automation, maintaining ticket SLAs, developing studio knowledge base articles, and planning the maintenance of the station equipment. You will help refresh and manage complex edit stations over their life cycles. You will also lead studio projects. Your skill set will also lead you to work closely with the production engineers specializing in screen capture recordings. Responsibilities Assist postproduction hosts, both remote and on location
Assist with postproduction host configuration and deployment
Deployment of new studio stations
Assist with the Production Operations change control submissions
Inforce and vet postproduction software standards
Manage the ProdOps queue and address incoming issues
Lead communication to content customers
Remote assistance for postproduction machines
Backup for team members specializing in screen capture recordings Contribute to weekly post production priorities and a biweekly summary report
User account creation
Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering to assist in the requirement needs for future postproduction hardware
Maintain close relationships with the content, production, and live action team to provide white glove treatment
Digital Asset Management of licenses used to deploy for future new hires Basic Qualifications BA/BS Degree in related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
2+ years experience in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications Experience basic scripting
Experience Mac/Windows mixed environment
Casper Management Suite package creation/update
Microsoft SCCM Imaging Suite package creation/update
Experience with Enterprise Storage (SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel)
Advanced understanding of Active Directory
Experience with virtualization setup eg. HyperV
Knowledge of UNIX, Windows, OSX, and TCP/IP network fundamentals
Strong hardware repair/software troubleshooting skills
Adaptive and databased approach to postproduction environment improvements
Ability to work autonomously and flex with changing priorities based on business needs
