JavaScript / Front end developer
Job Description
We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both frontend and backend web developers (inhouse and partner resources) to build all clientside logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the serverside infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.
Responsibilities Maintain existing and develop new UI features
Use JavaScript frameworks and common libraries to build reusable code and extension libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Follow secure development practices
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to backend services
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Front end engineer
Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds for both desktop and mobile browsers.
Strong understanding of web applications using ES6, Webpack, and npm, Strong understanding of web application using promises, classes, and nontrivial data structure parsing
Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX, complex web applications that integrate with APIs
Strong understanding of frameworks and libraries particularly JQuery, LoDash, Ally.js, Bourbon Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
Good understanding of gridbased layouts and responsive architectures that work across common desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
Good understanding of FrontEnd development on Adobe Experience Manager platform
Good understanding of secure development practices
Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
Proficient understanding of crossbrowser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Familiarity with backend JavaScript development using Node.js
