Datastage Developer

Description

Our Client has an immediate requirement for senior IBM InfoSphere DataStage Application Developer to support ongoing efforts to enhance the NYS MMIS (eMedNY). We are looking for a qualified Developer to create functional DataStage components and related processes. You will work as part of a team and individually. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of DataStage Version 11.5, open systems interfaces and technologies. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail. The goal is to create clean and flawless components to produce fully functional DataStage processes according to requirements and design.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following Develop and test DataStage components using XML files
invoking SOAP and RESTful services
Meet eMedNY Program standards associated with DataStage component development, review, unit and string testing
Create appropriate documentation artifacts associated with the DataStage components developed
Assist in production deployment and other support activities associated with DataStage components
Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
Eight (8) years of experience in the IT industry Six (6) or more years of IBM InfoSphere DataStage experience, Version 11.5 desirable
XML Related Technologies XSD, XPath, XSLT, etc.
SOAP/RESTful Web Services
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with support personnel, application development personnel and management Ability to work in a team environment with multiple team members, as well as productively as an individual
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines with a strong attention to detail required
Desired Qualifications Intel Expressway Service Gateway (ESG) or similar ServiceOriented Architecture (SOA)
MMIS or other Healthcare domain knowledge
