Description
Americas Test Kitchen is seeking an ETL Data Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Data Analytics and working primarily in support of America's Test Kitchen Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing initiatives. The ETL Data Specialist role will assist the Data Analytics team in administering various data sources and data processes. The primary responsibility is to help maintain, troubleshoot and modify existing ETL processes and test newly developed processes, using SQL, JAVA and Talend Open Studio. They will also assist in bringing current process up to standards by creating, testing, monitoring, analyzing and optimizing procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES Design extract, transform and load (ETL) components and process flow
Work independently in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of systems of moderatetolarge size and complexity, including audits and troubleshooting
Monitor ETL processes and infrastructure
Provide detailed analysis of problems and working with internal IT, marketing database agency and thirdparty vendors, recommend solutions and remedy
Collaborate across multiple teams to recommend/develop system solutions to business problems, and translate business requirements into technical specifications and applications
Responsible for making clear and concise presentations to establish consensus for architectural and design decisions among Business Intelligence, Data Science and Marketing areas
Evaluate feature/upgrade/change requests and recommend action to internal clients and/or Strategic Analytics team and create clear, detailed requests to marketing database agency and/or internal teams
Document database designs, solutions, configurations, and teach/mentor other team members and vendors including onboarding and knowledge transfer
Continuously improve system and database performance, automation, operations and processes
Ad Hoc SQL Queries and data exports
Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years' previous Data Management experience
Strong understanding of Data warehousing methodology and ETL/ELT best practices
Understanding of ETL framework Developing Audit, Balance, Control, Validation architecture, etc.
Familiar with DBMS table design, loading and tuning principles, and experience in SQL and stored procedures
Experience with developing data warehouses and ETL
Experience with AWS infrastructure and resource allocation
Experience with JAVA programming language
Knowledge and understanding of code/version management
Ability and comfort in monitoring & reviewing Windows performance and event logs to troubleshoot, diagnose and remedy server issues
Familiarity with performance and optimization of virtual environments and provisioning
Hands on experience developing ETL in Talend Open Studio environment a plus
Snowflake experience a plus
PowerShell scripting and/or Perl programming a plus
