Description
Placement of a Senior or Principal DevOps Engineer on CWTs E2 Solutions product, an enterpriselevel application used extensively by the US federal government for travel and expense management. This position focuses on iterative development of CI/CD process and associated platform/infrastructure, supporting developer enablement needs through all environments to Production.
General Expectations Coach development groups and platform customers to make sustainable use of CI/CD pipelines, modern toolsets, and containeroriented infrastructure.
Collaboratively contribute to the work effort as a DevOps subjectmatter expert for related Features and User Stories.
Architect, implement, and maintain process/products to enable development efforts and enforce best practices in quality, security, and governance.
Provide strong DevOps cultural/technical outreach to the organization in a collaborative partnership with other DevOps and Infrastructure engineers.

Qualifications
Position Considerations Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Knowledge of and experience with Agile frameworks (such as Scrum) preferred
The Main Course Endtoend experience with CI/CD pipelines from DEV through PROD (heavily invested in Maven/Gradle/NG and Jenkins right now)
Deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing Production systems, ideally at scale (AWS/Kops, Nutanix/Karbon, bare metal K8s via Kubespray)
Service mesh implementation and bestpractices (Istio, Consul, etc.). Ideally, you'll understand the microservices architecture and how/why you'd want to manage intra/intercommunication.
Docker, Kubernetes, general containerization and virtualization design, implementation, maintenance, etc. use of Kubectl and Helm (or Kustomize)
General understanding of networking (VPN, VLANs, Firewalls, etc.).
Some form of scripting (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) you don't have to be able to write things from memory, but ideally understand loops, conditionals, etc.
Configuration Management with Ansible (preferred) or Chef, Puppet, Salt, etc.
Linux/Unix OS proficiency
Side Dishes (nice to have but not necessarily required) Java 8+
Spring Boot
Angular + Material
Node Package Manager (NPM), NG, etc.
CI/CD as Code Declarative Jenkins Files
Git/GitHub/GitFlow knowledge and experience
Monitoring (Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana)
Logging (EFK, ELK)
