Infrastructure Project Manager

Description

They will work many different projects in the Infrastructure space with deliverables that run along the breadth of Infra such as servers, AD integration, circuits and facilities IT, networking, virtualization, storage, etc. Traditional infrastructure environment including all managed network appliances, servers/virtual machines, data storage units, firewalls, operating systems, applications, monitoring tools, and security/IT controls managing projects as mentioned.
Mix of Linux and Windows, physical and virtual. It is a medium sized footprint internally managed in three Data Center locations.
There will be 3rd party vendor management.
Experience working in an midsized company or for a Consulting company where they have touched on many different projects and have work multiple hats
Experience working with the internal Business (this is where good comm skills kick in)
Retail knowledge is preferred (Signet is a Retail Company Some companies to pull from, in the area that are similar to Signet are Neiman Marcus, Tuesday Morning, At Home, Michaels, any major or midsize retail is preferred, but not required)
Signet wants to see candidates that are in Dallas (or Akron, OH).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Superb, excellent communication skills
A minimum of 10 years experience in IT Project Management with progressively increasing roles
A minimum of 5 years IT Infrastructure experience
Managed multiple medium to large scale IT Infrastructure project implementations (required)
Demonstrated understanding of managed network appliances, servers/virtual machines, data storage units, firewalls, operating systems, applications, monitoring tools, and security/IT controls (required)
Experience with multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall SDLC, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Matrixed team management
Strong project management, analytical, organization, negotiation, and problemsolving capabilities
Effective crossteam collaboration and meeting facilitation skills
Knowledge of technology infrastructure solutions required
Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated aptitude for communicating with a wide range of resources from technicians to senior/executive management
Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.) and the ability to select the proper tool for managing a project and effectively communicating project status in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
PREFERRED
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and certifications preferred
PMP Certification is preferred
Retail background is preferred

Responsibilities
Assumes full ownership and responsibility for assigned projects
Manages the daytoday operational and tactical aspects of small, medium, or largescale projects from inception through production delivery; may include managing multiple projects concurrently and drives them to successful completion
Collaborates with management, IT teams, business teams, engineers, financial, and vendor/contract resources to determine the project scope (requirements), cost estimates, resource requirements, and schedule to develop the project plan and budget
Develop, manage, track, and maintain the project plan team member tasks, broader team communications, risks, issues, schedule, financials (budget, forecasts, and actuals), project conflicts, and overall quality project delivery through all project phases
Responsible for consistent use of Signet approved PMO Framework, project management tools and templates, and project lifecycle methodology
Ensure the project(s) are in compliance with Signet Security Standards regarding protection and privacy of sensitive corporate data (SOX, PCI, etc. compliance)
Establish and maintain IT operation, policies and procedures
Minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects
Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects
Produces regular status reports and facilitates recurring status meetings
Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure technologies and future trends
Meets financial objectives (capital, expense, and recurring) by forecasting, monitoring, tracking, and reporting project financial status (budget, forecasts, actuals, and variances)
Collaborate with the engineering and business teams to deliver high availability solutions and a stable customer experience
Interpret internal and external customer needs that impact the technology portfolio
React quickly to changing internal and external customer need
Manage matrix team members (internal, contract, and vendors) to meet the project objectives and schedule
Willingly participate in crossfunctional/brand teams
Fosters a team approach to project delivery by actively engaging cross functional resources
