Full stack Developer with React

Description

Company system that processes millions of transactions, for hundreds of thousands of merchants daily. The Integrations team is tasked with working on integrations between different bank partners, payment providers, and First Data systems. We work on tools to onboard new merchants, integrations with bank partners to expand into new markets and countries, and services to hook into payment providers and banking portals. As a part of this team, you will work on some of the following Building microservices

Exploring ways to expand to new markets and regions
We are looking for people to push the envelope on modernizing our stack from code to infrastructure.
In the first few months you will focus on building out a service to integrate merchant data from our bank partners to ease new merchant onboarding. Later, you will work with different company product owners to integrate company technology with our partners. Some projects include building out a notification system for email and mobile alerts, integrating and creating Single SignOn solutions, and working on enriching payment details in bank portals that merchants already use.
Our backend is in Java, connecting to a MySQL database. Our web apps are written in React + Typescript, with some old apps in Ember. We are just beginning our pivot from monoliths to microservices, and new engineers will be in a prime position to influence our overall architecture going forward. You will work with a wide variety of engineers and product managers from different teams and experiences.
Responsibilities Design and implement REST APIs for mobile, web, and server clients including our payment devices, web dashboard, 3rd party apps, and banking backends
Identify technical requirements and assist the business team with realistic project planning and feature development.
Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software that is inline with company objectives
Own your services and features from development through deployment and maintenance
Work with the Infrastructure Team to design data models to support largescale highly available services
Work with QA to develop test plans and strategies
Requirements 2+ years of experience working on backend API development
Strong coding skills; Java is our language of choice
Familiarity with MySQL or comparable RDBMS
Experience with API design
Superior problemsolving skills and debugging capabilities
Nice to have Interest in working with multiple parts of the stack
Experience with a cloud platform AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
Experience working on servertoserver communication & security
Python scripting
