Technical Business Analyst

Description

Work with the product owner and subject matter experts to define and document customer workflows and functional specifications. Elaborate product backlog high level requirements into user stories. Validate user stories with project stakeholders.
Continually groom Product Backlog to maintain 2 sprints worth of fully refined user stories. Decompose validated user stories into detail adequate enough for the engineering team to estimate, design, and execute solutions. Review with test team to ensure the item is testable. Lead requirements reviews with cross functional teams for Sprint Planning.
To support 1&2, it is mandatory to have strong technical, written and oral communication, and analytical skills with ability to work in a fastpaced environment while juggling multiple projects and priorities
Recommend and implement Agile best practices, proper methodology, development techniques, and correct tools for project success
Participate in sprint retrospectives to help team continuous improvement.
Drive full SDLC from requirements to delivery, project initiation to postproject review
Work with Toshiba teams/product owner to understand and clarify project requirements
Review all business requirements and documentation to ensure accuracy and thoroughness
Collaborate with SW Dev Managers, Architects, and developers to design and estimate work products
Plan iterations and release cycles, prepare project planning artifacts, and review with project stakeholders for approval
Schedule priorities and balance resources to accomplish project deliverables; Coordinate with management to monitor the workload of the developers and identify resource constraints
Run daily standups and project reviews, engaging with the team regularly to understand status, identify and escalate any roadblocks or challenges early; provide full transparency to management on timeframes, risks and issues
Coordinate code deployments to test systems, coordinating closely with engineering and QA on timely code deployments to staging and production environments.
Stay handson with the features your team builds, including facilitating code reviews with SW architects, help execute test cases if necessary, and smoke test implementations
Be an expert for the product/systems/technologies being developed and be the goto person for responsibilities related to this role
Qualifications
5+ years of managing full lifecycle software development projects with proven successful software delivery experience
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Be familiar with cloudbased deployment solutions, Azure preferred.
Experience using Agile/DevOps methodologies, to deliver engineering projects
Knowledge of microservices architectures, Docker containerization and Azure Service Fabric desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adept with project tracking tools such as Microsoft TFS or comparable.
Highly motivated, selfdriven problem solver.
Ability to identify team impediments and proactively find solutions onthefly.
Education
B.S. in Computer Science\ Engineering or equivalent years of experience in related fields.
PMP, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMIACP), or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
