Guides and influences the development and application of a formal GQS (Global Quality Services) Framework by applying a comprehensive understanding of company software testing methodologies, quality standards, and internal and external controls; staying current on and benchmarking industry trends and practices; promoting continuous improvement and making recommendations to management and other IT stakeholders for framework enhancements and refinements to SQA metrics; participating in and serving as a subject matter expert during gate assessments at various SDLC stages; serving as a primary point of contact and representing GQS on issues related to SQA controls and processes
Leads the development of software quality assurance (SQA) test strategies for largescale, complex IT initiatives spanning all SQA domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability; determining testing scope and approach; partnering with crossfunctional IT and business stakeholders to review and gain approval on the overall testing approach; identifying, defining, and mitigating issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing; verifying the validation of test data and environment requirements; ensuring test plans and timelines are aligned with project/program milestones Provides endtoend quality assurance throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for largescale, complex IT initiatives spanning all SQA domains by ensuring all testware complies with the GQS framework and company testing methodology; ensuring software quality metrics are tracked across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production Validation); defining and ensuring adherence to standardized processes throughout the software defect life cycle; defining and enforcing entry and exit criteria throughout the entire SDLC; providing executive dashboards to IT management and leadership as appropriate
Develops comprehensive project plans for software quality assurance (SQA) initiatives to drive the development of global SQA Centers of Excellence (COE) by researching, identifying, and prioritizing quality initiatives for delivery; determining project scope and level‑of‑effort (LOE) estimates;
identifying necessary resources and associated skillsets required to deliver project objectives; identifying training nee;
developing and managing Quality Management Office (QMO) deliverables and deadlines;
tracking and reporting project status and milestones to IT leadership as appropriate
Establishes and ensures adherence to Quality Management Office (QMO) practices, standards, and guidelines by defining bestinclass QMO process and policy requirements; establishing and leading auditing processes to ensure the standardization of SQA metrics, processes, and controls
; anticipating, mitigating, resolving, and/or escalating key risks, issues, and conflicts related to QMO compliance and enforcement;
managing the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of knowledge management practices and capabilities (e.g., internal social networking, knowledge base); driving the ongoing communication of industry standards and best practices to IT teams, governance committees, and the larger quality management community
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and 8+ years experience in SQA, software/system testing, or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Minimum 2+ years SQA experience working across multiple IT domains and business units in a corporate setting OR 2+ years SQA consulting experience.
Minimum 3+ years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
Master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field preferred
Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification.
Institution of Electrical Engineering (IEEE), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), or Six Sigma certification.
4+ years of work experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management (i.e., Director level and above).
4+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
4+ years experience working with third party IT vendors.
4+ years IT experience in the retail industry.
4+ years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
4+ years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
