The Analytics Enablement team is part of Corporate Centers Analytics Center of Expertise. Its mission is to lead KeyBanks journey to becoming an innovative, insightsdriven enterprise organization by helping to build and grow a highperforming analytics community. Our experienced team of practitioners focuses on engaging, enabling, and empowering decisionmakers across the enterprise by managing and supporting contemporary analytics tools, by developing and delivering robust training and development, by providing strong metadata management, and by researching, specifying, and deploying nextgeneration analytics capabilities. We are an internal consulting and services organization that works directly with users across the firm, including our partners in Enterprise Strategy, Data and Architecture, to facilitate the development of innovative solutions that help us compete and win with analytics.
The Senior Business Intelligence Consultant fills an important data, technology, and innovation role that supports ongoing reporting, analytics, and advanced analytics functions using our Tableau platform. In addition, the Senior Business Intelligence Consultant acts as the primary pointofcontact for enduser technical support and associated technology expertise.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Senior Tableau Developer works both independently and in collaboration with a crossfunctional team to effectively monitor, manage, and support reporting and analytics technology, data infrastructure, and the design and development of underlying analytics use cases. This individual evaluates shortterm business needs required to support key business goals and priorities and works to ensure reporting and analytics solutions are built and deployed in an effective and efficient manner. Under the guidance of the teams Director and in cooperation with peers in infrastructure, the Senior Business Intelligence Consultant will coordinate the effective management and expansion of the Tableau environment for highperformance analytics in order to enhance business results and decisionmaking. The role has primary responsibility for Tableau user technical training and support and for advising data scientists, project teams, and analytics professionals on Tableau best practices. The Senior Tableau Developer is on the forefront for recommending how to best integrate Tableau capability will other KeyBank platforms and solutions, either onpremise or in the cloud. In addition, this role actively participates in researching, evaluating, and recommending nextgeneration analytics capabilities including but not limited to natural language processing, embedded analytics, automated machine learning, and the use of chatbots for analytics use cases.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
68 years of handson experience in business intelligence, advanced analytics, data warehousing, and statistics 46 years of handson experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server Experience with natural language processing, especially familiarity with Tableau Ask Data Experience with opens source technologies like Python, R, Hadoop, and Spark Experience with various relational database management systems, preferably Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 Demonstrated knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) Handson experience with Tablea Data Prep and Alteryx preferred Exposure to or handson experience with other BI platforms like IBM Cognos, Salesforce Einstein, and/or Looker helpful Candidate must be a selfstarter and creative problemsolver with an innovative and curious mindset Candidate must have a strong customerservice mindset Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact, collaborate, and present to all levels of the organization A broad, enterprisewide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance The ability to recognize pain points within the organization, functional interdependencies and crosssilo redundancies The ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges The ability to create capability portfolios and technical roadmaps addressing gaps The ability to understand and recognize the economics of technology and the business goals The ability to perform industry analysis and identify business and technology trends specific to the portfolio The ability to visualize and create highlevel models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the analytics architecture and associated capabilities The ability to assist business case creation and realization by aligning business goals to organizational capabilities The ability to act as liaison conveying information in suitably accurate models between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology. The scope of this information includes business requirements, data constraints, business rules, models of strategy and motivation, processes, accountabilities, and many other business and IT operational needs Strong situational analysis and decisionmaking abilities Advanced degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Decision Science or equivalent experience preferred Tableau Professional Certification preferred Financial and/or Banking background preferred
