SQL DBA/Sr Systems Engineer

Description

Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product life cycle environments, from development to production systems
Configure and maintain SQL database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
Identify trending gaps and issues in day-to-day performance of DB systems and applications
Independently analyze, and solve issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
Refine and automate deployment and migration processes, track issues, and document changes
Propose strategies to anticipate the high volumes of requests and data, and ensure the DB platforms are scaling accordingly
Architect in setting database standards and best practices.
Evaluating business requirements and translating them into specific database solutions
Creating data design models, database architecture and data repository
Creating and testing database prototypes
Ensuring database integrity, stability and system availability
Ensuring new database schema meets standards for readability and performance
Performance tuning new and existing applications
Act as the Data/Schema Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Caretaker.
Write efficient T-SQL script for various routines and complex business logic.
Data Warehouse
Must be able to develop procedures and scripts for data migration
Ability to collaborate in the physical, logical architecture, and design of the relational database schemas.
Administer SQL server environment, maintenance plans, backup restore, and user security.
Create SQL views, Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and stored procedures to combine/aggregate data needed for reporting purposes.
Perform problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.
