SQL DBA

Description

Emory Healthcare is in need of a Lead level Sr SQL consultant. The team has undergone a re-org so they need to review/develop SOPs and best practices. The consultant they bring in needs to have enough experience with interfacing with other elements of the organization (network, storage, vmware, etc) to make this a successful project.



Consultant needs to be highly experienced with this type of situation so that they are ready to hit the ground running. This person needs to be more than just a SQL DBA, they have to have someone that has experiencing augmenting new or at risk DBA groups and getting them on the right track.

Responsibilities

• 1. Extensive experience setting up SQL Always on cluster. Must be able to identify all requirements necessary (DNS, Network, vmware, etc)-must be able to set up the servers, consolidate, management of SQL server, building
• 2. Extensive experience developing best practices and standard operating procedures for vmware virtualized SQL
• •Will need to be able to come in and help getting their SQL environment organized, help with documentation, writing best practices, communication, etc
• 3. Experience augmenting new or at risk DBA groups
• 4. SQL risk assessment- someone that has experiencing augmenting new or at risk DBA groups and getting them on the right track.
• 5. High Availability experience- must have strong knowledge in this
