Description
Job Duties:
Software development for growing publications technology stack; support of applications used by publishing staff and publishing process.
This individual will be doing 2-3 projects at one time. These projects are specific solutions type of projects.
Job Requirements:
5 or more years professional experience
Broad based Java Developer
Web UI development
Linux/Unix (they do a good amount of scripting and automation)
Scripting with Python, Perl or Kshell
Front End Development
HTML
CSS
JQuery
Highly Desired:
They would like someone with technical leadership and facilitation capabilities.
This individual will spend a good amount of time when they first join the team learning their stack. They will be doing about 80% development.
After they have learned their stack, they will then look to this individual for technical leadership type of roles.
They are estimating 50% development, 50% being technical leadership.
Client needs this individual to be able to work with their overseas technology vendors.
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Git, Stash and Jira is preferred.
