Summary: Responsible for assisting with the design, implementation and operational support of the Comcast's Domain Name System (DNS) and Network Time Protocol (NTP) infrastructure. Provides technical advice and support for real time analysis, design, testing, and operations of DNS in DevOps environment. Acts as a DNS Subject Matter Expert.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provides engineering and operational support for Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure and technologies.
- Analyzes DNS infrastructure design and traffic volume for network optimization.
- Follows engineering design life cycle with proper documentation ensuring that all detailed designs adhere to network standards.
- Develops test and acceptance criteria for DNS infrastructure.
- Drives the continuous improvement of deployed systems by consistently looking for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
- Strong CentOS/RHEL administration skills
- Strong system engineering skills, particularly with automated configuration management (SaltStack/Ansible)
- Solid software development skills, with a focus on programming/automation. Python is generally preferred, but Perl, Ruby and Go are also suitable.
- Demonstrates an ability to learn and apply new technology throughout their career
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
JD for Senior ETL Developer:
The primary function is providing support and solutions for an Informatica based enterprise middleware system during failure and help maintaining SLA
Customisation and support of interfaces with SFDC applications
Support interfaces to Infoquest and Einstein analytics
Develop the ETL code from requirements and mapping the fields in source systems
Responsible for major project enhancements driven by business needs involves changes at various steps of application
Ensure the complete and consistent data flow from source to target.
Maintain the integrity of data between the source system by having reconciliation enabled in the code and audit scripts
Tune the existing scripts for performance improvement
Provide quick workarounds and solutions for the problems encountered in production environment
Work with data modelling team to ensure data standards are met
Mapping the data from SFDC source system
Provide long term solutions for issues occurring frequently to avoid risks due to manual intervention
Role must take a logical approach that enables the team to systematically organize and consolidate scripts for workaround and production support
Knowledge/Skills Required:
Informatica Power Centre and Power Mart
SFDC and Teradata V2R12 and V2R13
SQL/PL SQL knowledge
Excellent Unix Knowledge
Shell Scripting
Excellent Problem-solving capabilities
Willingness to work during extra business hours
Must have positive attitude and willingness to help team and share knowledge
