Installs, configures and maintains the operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware and applications software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems on the server. Duties include installing and maintaining (from a server or system perspective) operating systems, database management systems, and programming tools. Monitors and tunes systems software and networks for optimal performance. Also installs new user accounts, creates batch administration scripts and runs systems backups and disaster recovery operations. Role will be responsible for Upgrading using a wreck and rebuild process for Vmware Vcenters and VMware ESXi hosts from previous versions (5.0, 5.5 and 6.0) to either Version 6.5 or 6.7. Candidate needs to be familiar with upgrade process and have flexible hours to execute upgrades during off-peak hours. Ability to maintain a process, meeting to discuss what is working and what steps need to be added or modified in order to improve the upgrade process.
