Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical issues. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of technical and business personnel. Be able to work independently under pressure in crisis situations and produce results often times under severe time constraints and difficult working conditions. Have strong multi-tasking skills. Possess the ability to function as a key team member i.e. process information and convey to the team as well as receive in like fashion from each fellow team member. Possess a mix of proficient research capabilities as well as conceptual analytical and managerial competence within a team environment. Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5 - 7 year’s experience in software development with preference in the financial products areas. Knowledge of and experience with the SunGard Invest One product Project Life Cycle Experience Proficiency working on the IBM Mainframe Cobol/CICS/VSAM/DB2 Strong organizational and project management skills including the ability to manage expectations.Description
The FPCMS Systems group is looking for an experience Mainframe to join their team to improve and support their COBOL based applications. These positions will require strong analytical, programming and debugging skills. The assigned projects will range from small to large initiatives involving defect resolution within the existing software base and new system functionality that is intended to satisfy additional business requirements. The role is based out of Westlake, Texas.
Responsibilities
- The Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management (FPCMS) technology team provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity mutual funds and other investment vehicles, as well as to many Fidelity business partners. FPCMS Systems works on technology-based projects in collaboration with Fidelity's other Systems divisions, customers, vendors and the custodian banks
