Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years’ experience in eCommerce environments. • Experience delivering more than one eCommerce solution through to deployment and go-live. • Retail Experience is preferred. • Superior knowledge of HCL Commerce (V9) • Superior knowledge of supporting Search technologies such as SOLR Lucene Elastic Search and SAAS solutions such as Lucid Works or Bloomreach • Strong knowledge of Container Platforms such as Open Shift or Azure Kubernetes along with experience with Cloud Deployments on Azure or Google • Ability to provide technical leadership of the eCommerce suite of applications including HCL Commerce platform Headless Commerce Microservices Adobe AEM Sites Digital Asset Management Payment Integrations including Mobile Wallets Mobile Integrations CRM/Loyalty and 3rd party/ERP Integrations • Strong knowledge of Cache Management Akamai CDN Traffic Management BOT Security Management • Deep understanding of Application Performance and Tuning including experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace App Dynamics or Splunk • Ability to develop project technology strategies by understanding key business objectives; diagnosing and mapping requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle. • Ability to manage business partner relationships by communicating eCommerce architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues. • Ability to establish architectural and development standards around eCommerce platforms. • Ability to transform complex business requirements into system architectures which meet security availability and performance requirements. • Demonstrated competence designing systems and/or processes that provide efficient effective solutions to diverse complex problems. • Demonstrated competence in strategic thinking and leadership. • Superior communication skills both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction. • Demonstrated collaboration skills with the ability to handle conflict and to work with a distributed team. • Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions.
Description

• Architect, design and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs for HCL/WebSphere Commerce application
• Apply software engineering best practices while also leveraging automation across all elements of solution delivery
• Stays abreast of emerging technologies and market trends within the retail space and makes recommendations to align with the business strategic initiatives. Develops and maintains the technology roadmaps that drive innovation within the organization.
• Translates business requirements into technical designs that ensure availability, stability, scalability, security, and recoverability. Accountable for the quality of the implemented solutions. Works with business partners to ensure design meets desired outcomes.
• Provides oversight for the development of prototypes and setting technology direction.
• Defines and promotes processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies. Responsible for creating deliverables that are consistent with defined architecture principles, standards, methodologies and best practices.
• Develops and maintains artifacts in the Architecture Library.
• Governs the introduction of new technologies. Reviews, aligns, and drives technology plans with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must be able to document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code comments, etc.
