10+ years of progressive experience in computer system support design development and engineering in a large distributed computing environment. Plus 5 years of architecture experience- Demonstrated design and delivery experience: Application Design & Development Hands-on programming expertise with multiple programming languages (they are a java shop) Understanding of tradeoffs between programming paradigms such as object oriented versus functional programming styles Systems Integration Ability to take high level requirements and develop software architecture and code with minimum supervision Enterprise Integration technologies and patterns Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills- Extremely collaborative and personable Excellent oral and written communication and presentation SKILLS Capable of rapidly understanding new concepts and ideas Ability to command respect amongst peers and colleagues Ability to manage projects and staff- Proven influence/negotiation skills Proven capacity to work independently and manage multiple competing demands Systems Thinking the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking) Customer service orientation- Time management and prioritization skills Demonstrated delivery and architecture experience across at least three of the following:- Application Design & Development:? Experience coding/designing solutions using advanced patterns such as microservices service-oriented architecture web services (SOAP and REST) API management messaging systems and event-driven architectures? Expertise leading teams in a DevOps environment. Understanding of integrated tools sets for automated DevOps and continuous releases Data Management & Integration: Experience with both common and emerging interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x (essential) as well as CCD C - CDA XML V3 IHE profile FHIR (desirable) Infrastructure Operations: Possess knowledge on leading edge concepts in technology including virtualization Containers Security Cloud Computing MobileSecurity Business Architecture: Experience working with frameworks like BIZBOK- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills to help in his/her interaction with a variety of stakeholders ranging from developers to executives Has developed very good facilitation negotiation and presentation skills.

Description

Enterprise Architects partner with executive business leadership, IT Leadership, Engineers, Developers and to create a Technology Architecture Strategy and Plan that aligns investments in technology with business goals and strategies. They are the primary partner for executive leadership in technology discussions and planning.

Essential Resource Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Works as equal with engineering/development staff for optimal design/delivery- Supports the development of Business Cases through the development of Architecture Impact Assessments, Conceptual Solution Designs and Solution Design Scorecards- Provides direction to solution delivery teams on development of technology element roadmaps, (e.g. cloud, mobility, automation) assigned to their business portfolio- Accountable for the value and quality of solution and process designs delivered for a business portfolio- Develops component selection and prototyping as required- As a key member of the project team, provides leadership in both application design and development- Works with Level II/III EAs to identify areas of re-usability/architecture improvements across the portfolio- Responsible for educating Solution Architects on Target State Architectures and roadmaps and ensuring solutions are designed in alignment with the TSA- Researches and identifies areas of innovation with the intent to advance business capabilities by the use of IT- Strong relationship development with all primary and secondary stakeholders- Utilizes understanding of industry software trends to innovate and provide new project/product ideas within the investment lifecycle- Participates in governance mechanisms and ensure that deliveries exceed governance standards- Works with business architect(s) to provide deep understanding and integration of business and the technology strategy across the enterprise, to develop the models that best reflect the business strategy and that each business unit has effective architecture support- Works with infrastructure architect(s) to provide an enterprise infrastructure that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs and drives innovation and value throughout enterprise projects- Works with information architect(s) to provide strategic information usage, integration, storage and retrieval across the enterprise and that information supports distinct and provable business advantage- Works with solution architect(s) to provide enterprise software that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs and drives innovation and value throughout enterprise projects- Develops technology strategy, future state architecture, and roadmap for the enterprise/business portfolio- Provides transparency to business stakeholders on the cost, benefit, risk and health of the technologies that support their business operations- Reviews Conceptual Solution Designs and Solution Design Scorecards with business sponsors to ensure agreement and alignment on approach and value- Provides leadership and/or representation to various technical standards groups, committees, and workgroups- Translates business opportunities into technical solution requirements- Evaluates vendors or contractors supplying software or infrastructure solutions or services. Ensures compliance with the Health Plan architecture and techniques- Works with Architects from the Data, Security, Infrastructure and Application domains to ensure cohesion across technology domains strategies and roadmaps- Actively contributes to, and participates in, key Architecture Governance activities such Architecture Review Board, Solution Design Review, Architecture Strategy Working Groups, Technology Acquisition Process and Disaster Recovery planning.
