Typical Day 1.Develops major GUI modules based on requirements gathered from product manager 2. Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of GUI features that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely quality results 3. Assists other software developers with component icon development and user documentation effortsDescription
Responsibilities of the incumbents are to develop, demonstrate, deploy, and support new orimproved performance simulation tools for Caterpillar product development.
Thisincludes re-architecture and development of new features and capabilities in Caterpillars proprietary 1D and 3D engineering simulation software.
Some of the other responsibilities are maintaining simulation software testing environment and conducting software testing, improving software quality, performance and usability, developing and implementing software development best practice guidelines. Near-term focus will be to implement GUI in C++ using libraries.
