Follow coding standards for templates and building blocks within the CMS environment. Develop/code templates and web pages using Drupal PHP HTML JSON JavaScript CSS and Usability Standards. • Analyze project needs and determine technical solutions to fit time and budget constraints. • Perform routine HIMSS website maintenance updates and upgrades. • Participate on multiple development teams on various projects participate in and lead development scrums attend department meetings and participate with IT and Web Services in developing and improving HIMSS enterprise application architecture. • Identify new web technologies that can enhance the visitor experience to the HIMSS’ websites. • Helps manage the ticketing system and fulfill requests to update websites. • Enhance editorial tools to allow content owners to format and get content on their sites in a timely manner.Description
The role is responsible for software engineering, programming, modifying, and maintaining websites belonging to the HIMSS enterprise digital platform built on a Drupal platform. The person develops software and enforces technical standards for the entire suite of HIMSS websites. They are responsible for following the coding processes and procedures established by the Sr. Director, and mentoring and training the coding processes and procedures to other web developers, both internal and contracted.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
- • 2+ years’ of experience focused on development in a web production environment.
- • Experience in planning, developing and launching websites for large audiences.
- • Intermediate knowledge in the following: Drupal 7, PHP, Javascript, Git / Github, Jenkins / Continuous Integration
- • Experience with the following: AWS, Drupal 8, REST APIs, Automated testing
- • Experience working with optimizing code for SEO preferred.
- • Ability to Q&A own work as well as other team members work.
- • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
- • Knowledge of current web technologies and best practices. Including mobile web design & development.
- • Experience with Google Analytics preferred.
- • Experience with Marketing Automation processes and tools (Marketing Cloud)
- • Experience with database environment (MySQL, Mongo, etc.)
