Job Description: The UX Designer is responsible for mapping how users will easily move through our applications to achieve their goals. They will team up with UX researchers to organize information and establish a content hierarchy based on how users search and find content. Through drawing and whiteboarding sessions, they will collaborate with functional teams to define how users reach the path of success. They will create wireframes and rapid prototypes in an Agile environment to allow for iterative testing and get stakeholder buy-in. With strong attention to detail and a savvy knowledge of web standards, trends and usability, they'll help evangelize UX across all Herbalife web and mobile products.
Responsibilities
- Frames user problems for stakeholders through scenarios storyboards, journey maps, user flows and task flow diagrams
- Creates low-to-high fidelity wireframe prototypes to communicate interaction design expectations to others or for testing purposes
- Maps how users can easily move through a product to achieve their goals
- Creates creative and new user interface components and style guides based on business requirements
- Builds changes or enhancements for alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and drive improvement changes
- Proactively collects business requirements from department members to translate into design documents
- Tests prototype interface and feasibility of products
- Drives development of design concepts and implementation, taking input on user design considerations from more junior team members
- Builds functional requirement documents by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and guides for the application
- Drives discussions with developers and squad members to understand business goals while effectively communicating design ideas
- Leverages data, testing, competitive and comparative experiences and customer insight to constantly iterate on the products
- Organizes information and establish content hierarchy based on the user’s conceptual model
- Reviews and owns functional specifications and participate in the development of design for functionality and user interface
- Reviews and owns changes or enhancements for alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and drive improvement changes
- Introduce, evangelize and embed Lean UX processes within Agile to refine and release a proposed design incrementally
- Acts as the caretaker for the information architecture and navigation structure that supports the recommended content strategy
- Experience partnering with UX Research to amplify research and design impact
- Establishes and maintains our design system, and oversee governance of UX patterns
- Proposes updates to design architecture based on discovered trends and patterns
- Reviews and owns functional requirement documents
