Description

Min 5 years development experience with: BI, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Integration Services, SSRS, Shell Scripting, Batch scripting.
Evaluate business requests for new or modified capabilities to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities.
Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements
Liaise with the business to enhance existing and develop new functionality with BI dashboards, and analytics between the various systems to support business data driven decisions.
Analyze business requirements into technical requirements for reporting/visualizations, data models, and databases.
Create and maintain technical design documents and specifications on change requests and assignments within a project while maintaining documentation and abstracts in conformance with standards.
Develop and deploy reporting capabilities to meet business needs
Develop reporting for business consumption using BI tools.
Provide detailed source analysis and data mappings/transformations to teammates and corporate resources to implement new data sources and integrations.
Configure BI systems to deliver BI solutions.
Devise and deliver testing plans and testing data to validate BI solutions.
Coordinate user testing for acceptance of BI solutions.
Deploy and Validate BI solutions ensuring changes follow appropriate Change and Release Management processes.
Assist with complex incident management situations affecting BI capabilities and solutions.
Implement process improvements (Automation, Query and Model optimization)
Serve as SME (Subject-Matter-Expert) in PowerBI and Business Intelligence
Maintain and enhance reporting systems in a manufacturing environment utilizing .Net and other development platforms
Support the development of tools to improve efficiency of primarily ERP but also CRM, QMS, PLM, SMS, reporting utilizing SQL, MS Access, BI or other similar tools
Provide support of existing Access and Excel reporting, and VB and ODBC connection issues
Support Web servers and IIS
Expertise in one or more BI Platform (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc)
Strong experience in UX Design for creating user friendly and intuitive visualizations/ reports/ dashboards
Experience using Rest API calls (for system integration, automation of platform administration etc)
Background in data analysis
In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Able to write complex and analyze and write SQL queries asneeded
Strong understanding of SQL database (ODBC, Object Oriented database design, query optimization/tuning, SQL)
Strong understanding of development SDLC (preferably Iterative/Agile)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; Attention to details is critical
Demonstrate thorough understanding and ability to use source control / configuration management tools
Demonstrate understanding of QA / QC process and test methodologies
Experience with change management procedures
Application/systems support experience
Resolving business connectivity issues
Provide analysis and support for production systems
Knowledge of Microsoft BI is a plus or similar
MS Access a huge plus
Management of regular IT SOX checks
