Skills
Design code test install and support significant enhancements to existing application systems and small subsets of development projects or purchased applications. Provides on-call support under senior team members; troubleshoots and corrects straightforward and routine system problems/abends. Oversees major applications integration efforts including designs codes tests installs and supports complex integrated applications systems; guides the customization implementation and support of purchased package applications. Analyzes reviews and rewrites existing application programs to increase operating efficiency and/or adapt to new requirements; gather and analyze information for developing and modifying systems; translate knowledge into systems designs; prepare detailed program specifications and design conversion tasks schedules. Translates specifications into a logical process that includes rational design coding testing documentation etc. Ensures adherence to and the application of IS established standards procedures tools etc. and in the maintenance of all application programs and required documentation. Develops documents and maintains best practices project standards procedures application quality objectives and "lessons learned " including metrics for assessing progress; ensures that applications systems developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies practices. May participate in IS project teams working with Systems Specialist and Business Process Specialist to quantify program/system requirements develop and execute program test plans review test results and as a team member report the system issues complete assigned tasks to detail and deadlines. Accuracy in support of project plans and schedules provides realistic work estimates and accurate and timely status reporting.Description
Contribute to the development, modification, implementation of applications. Need involvement in the design, code, test, debugs, and document programs—positions at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. Come up with high-quality enterprise web and mobile applications and services in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus. Masters preferred or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, and
- 8 to 10 years demonstrated work experience in one or more IT functional areas, and knowledge must include
- 4 to 6 years job-specific systems analysis work experience, with an emphasis on decision support systems.
- Experience with Angular, RxJS, HTML5, CSS front end query tools, and other data warehousing software
- Java, Angular and Relational database design, and software package and/or systems implementation
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply a wide range of interpretive analysis tools, structured analysis, and design techniques
- XML, Web Services, other integration methodologies is a plus.
- Java, Spring framework, REST Webservices, Python is a plus.
- Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport persuades others and gains understanding
- Good oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills; ability to effectively interact with internal and external customer and team members
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, Information Technology practices, and methods
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team efforts, willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions; ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas and the ability to work effectively in a diverse workgroup
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and apply to business needs rapidly
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and/or crisis and render the right decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety, and ensure adherence to the Corporate Code of Conduct
