• Designs develops and maintains standard database practices and styles in regard to development and architecture. • Manages multiple databases through entire product lifecycle from development to mission-critical production systems. • Monitors and corrects for poor performing queries and processes; works to resolve issues as needed. Optimizes overall database performance through intelligent indexing partitioning normalization process redesign and performance tuning. • Maintains and monitors system health of database servers and processes to ensure high levels of performance availability and security. • Applies data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. • Analyzes solves and corrects issues in real time providing end-to-end problem resolution. • Refines and automates standard processes tracks issues and documents changes. • Assists developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. • Provides on-call support for critical database production systems. Performs scheduled maintenance and assists with release deployment activities after hours. • Helps cross-train partners by sharing domain and technical expertise information. • Ensures annual licensing agreements for software and hardware are kept up to date.Description
• Advanced knowledge of SQL query construction.
• Advanced knowledge of multiple databases including MySQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Advanced knowledge of VMWare architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of VCenter and VSphere.
• Advanced knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for databases.
• Advanced knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Advanced knowledge of native monitoring and troubleshooting tools for Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
