Our client’s vision is to become a leader in delivering medicines to patients with unmet medical needs in six core therapeutic areas. R&D IT will drive this change through a series of six core technical capability areas reflecting the technical disrupters that have been identified. These six areas align to the key skills and platforms that R&D IT must establish to strategically advance. The R&D Intelligent Automation team is seeking a self-starter with a strong technical delivery background and hands-on technical expertise to drive our Intelligent Automation strategy on projects contributing to Cognitive Robotic Process Automation (RPA) use cases. The Python Developer will be an integral part of the R&D Intelligent Automation delivery team within the Systems & Platform Engineering organization. The Python Developer will focus on designing and developing python solutions that address needs across the R&D functions: Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, R&D Data Sciences, BRQC, Procurement and Finance.
Responsibilities
- 4+ years of demonstrated python design and development experience
- Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent
- Strong technical problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to identify various solution approaches and recommend best path forward
- Ability to work on varying assignments within a team and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work with client and offshore teams in a DevOps and Agile manner
- Experience with source control (Bitbucket) and APIs
- Preferred: Experience and interest in Machine Learning and AI
- Experience and interest in automation (Cognitive automation and RPA)
- Preferred: Experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry
- Preferred: Experience with AWS and/or Azure
