Skills
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in network infrastructure implementation and support. • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in data center operations. • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in data backup and recovery design and operations. • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Microsoft Cloud Solutions including implementation migration operations and support of Azure / O365. • Knowledge and working experience of disaster recover solutions and testing. • Experience in the deployment and administration of VoIP solutions for the Enterprise. • Experience in Video Management Solutions for an enterprise. • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in formal project management of enterprise level IT solutions. • Experience in advanced technical support (Tier 2 and 3) and the ability to troubleshoot at both the network and systems level. • Working knowledge of TCP/IP VOIP QOS IPSEC Cisco hardware/software network analyzers and network monitoring. • Evidence of strong effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience. • Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of colleagues and public from top management to new hires. • Evidence of ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Evidence of ongoing pursuit of technical knowledge and experience. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively. • Experience and understanding of operating systems business applications and network systems. • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills communication skills active listening and customer-care. • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Description
As a critical member of the DPSCD’s Technology Infrastructure Team, the Enterprise Engineer will be responsible for enterprise level system administration, backup, restore and disaster recovery. The Enterprise Engineer will also work collaboratively with other members of the Technology team on the deployment, operations and management of enterprise-level infrastructure systems including VoIP, Video Management Systems and Cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- 1. Ensure successful data back-ups and prove ability to lead (hands-on) Disaster Recovery efforts.
- 2. Maintain cloud-based enterprise solutions including Microsoft Azure / Office 365 (including SharePoint).
- 3. Maintain data center facilities management functions and coordinate with vendors to perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- 4. Coordinate with the Server Team and perform setup, configuration, and operations of cloud-based solutions.
- 5. Assists with the administration and maintenance of district enterprise solutions including VoIP Telecommunication systems and Video over IP (video surveillance).
- 6. Provide Tier 2 and 3 End User Support. Share on-call, off-hours support.
- 7. Responsible for researching potential external vendors, maintaining current vendor relationships, and ensuring projects' successful completion.
- 8. Respond to help desk requests via phone and online help desk system and follow-through on all assigned tickets to meet/exceed client expectations.
