Primary Responsibilities: * Engages the client organization fosters key relationships and develops a thorough understanding of the enterprise data architecture data management and governance policies. * Lead a team of 15+ database administrators and engineers to improve the operation & maintenance processes of large Oracle based application(s) in pre-production and other environments. * Support multiple application teams implementing database designs loading extracting transforming and updating data. Expertise in performance tuning of database queries and code. * Serves as the technical point of contact responsible for all application data architecture and design efforts across the program. Setup enterprise-level governance & monitoring processes. * Provides technical oversight design configuration infrastructure and deployment support for transactional databases and application's data management * Oversees the implementation of data projects and roadmap objectives fosters enterprise adoption of canonical concepts and leads the successful delivery of all related technical milestones * Authors or reviews all required documentation briefings models and designs around client data including developing vision and target state data architecture deliverables * Develops SLAs and technical data standards in support of data governance and data implementation projects * Designing implementing and configuring database security architecture software and controls. Designing and developing database monitoring and reporting tools within Oracle Suite. * Works closely with other architects DBAs development teams security and operations staff etc. to ensure timely and successful data development migration transformation deployment and production operations

Description

We are seeking an experienced, Application Data Architect in leading data
architecture of large mission critical federal system comprised of multiple
applications. This is a high visibility technology leadership position
requiring the background and operational experience with disparate data
architectures, innovative data collection, strategic data transformation,
data product and infrastructure recommendations, leadership in data
stakeholder and steward alignment, among others. This role also includes
developing technical artifacts that support technical architecture, designs,
models and related data specifications, including mentoring database
administrators, engineers and system development resources in a dynamic
client and business partner facing atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• * BS in information systems or computer science
• * 8+ years of major projects focused on enterprise data architecture, master
• data management, data federation, ETL, security, quality and related
• initiatives
• * 5+ years of database development and troubleshooting skills and ability to
• work closely across multiple teams and vendors to ensure successful releases
• and enterprise scale data migration.
• * 5+ years of experience designing, developing and managing enterprise-level
• databases using relational databases (Oracle)
• * Expert in data modeling experience (Conceptual, Logical, Physical/ERD)
• using proven techniques and modern tools
• * Developing a target state data vision and supporting realization by
• leading development activities in conjunction with various application
• development teams to achieve objectives
• * Data leadership, stakeholder engagement and management by applying
• excellent oral communications, solid presentation, interpersonal and
• problem-solving skills
• * Experience implementing large-scale solutions that empower business data
• and enterprise data integration using one or more major RDBMS platforms such
• as (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• * Experience with big data and cloud data platforms (AWS RDS, Elasticsearch,
• Hadoop. etc.)
• * Applying data engineering in a large environment by assessing the current
• state, performing requirements gathering, and producing analyses in multiple
• dimensions for disparate consumers
• * Developing semantic layers and models in support of business intelligence
• and data analytics (BI and DW support)
