Skills
BS in engineering related discipline 8+ years of experience with networking-oriented software development projects including the following skills: Experience with containers VM Linux based environment Experience of the entire software Lifecycle to include generating requirements architecture design configuring test and audit tools conducting test verification and compliance Experience with writing test scripts configuring test tools and interfacing with software components Experience with cloud-based implementation of secure agile continuous integration and continuous development pipelines Good knowledge of computer networking principles with DHCP DNS LDAP Ethernet and IPv4 v6 Experience writing technical documents for external customers Capable of obtaining and holding a Clearance Preferred Qualifications Certification in cloud-based design and implementation Experience working in agile project environment (e.g. Scrum framework)Description
Principal (Edge) Cloud Engineer who is energetic, creative and team oriented to work on the development and testing of state-of-the-art management and networking software for 5G, GEO, and LEO SATCOM products used in secure communications. The individual will be part of agile teams that develop software for (edge) cloud in an agile software development environment. The position is based in our Gaithersburg, Maryland office. On-site as of 1/4/2021
Responsibilities
Provide testing leadership to software teams defining test requirements, developing secure cloud environment, and performing tests and audits
Provide leadership in (edge) cloud-based design, software configuration, installation and testing within DevSecOps environments
Work with development teams in resolving issues and ensuring release quality
Collaborate with suppliers, customers program management in a timely and effective manner
