8-10 years of building large scale data systems architectural patterns building APIs microservices event streams and high throughput system 5-8+ years of influencing leadership in the fields of information management demonstrated experience leading large scale data & analytics projects with architecture blue prints for data & analytics At least 2-3 years of working in the AWS ecosystem experience leading data architecture on AWS Strong experience in analyzing data architecture identifying opportunities for data reorganization for efficiencies towards mobile first microservices and API oriented data (that could empower business decisions) and preparing roadmaps for future initiatives Extensive hands-on experience building Data strategies around Enterprise data assets Data quality Data Integration Strong experience with event driven architecture and related solutions (like Kafka) are highly preferred Hands-on knowledge in building data platforms data pipelines data migration ETL/ ELT solutions with structured and unstructured data Knowledge of distributed systems & services messaging object orientation database solutions web application development security and open source technologies Bachelors’ Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field Strong hands-on background in software development

Description

Client is looking for a Principal Data Architect for one of their clients. This person can sit remote out of Utah, Texas or Colorado. The Principal Data Architect with be a leader within our clients Data organization. They will work alongside the Director of Enterprise Architecture to help define and promote their data-driven culture, providing leadership for how our client uses data across their organization. This person will drive key decisions around how our client works with data, both within the data organization and for the company overall. They will be taking ownership of the key transactional and data warehouse design initiatives. This will include creating new data models as well as improving existing databases and data flows. They will be advising the Product and Engineering teams on best data practices, as well.
