Description

As a Sr. Cloud Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for providing cloud and virtualization solutions, including hybrid cloud solutions, across NetApp engineering and services. You will work closely with IT, Engineering and Architects to design solutions that include multiple clouds and hypervisor infrastructure technologies. To be successful you will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; be motivated; and work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
• Expected to be a knowledgeable and capable administrator of AWS or Azure cloud
• Experience with GCP and IBM are a plus
• Kubernetes experience
• Experience in securing virtual solutions highly desired
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects and engineers and have influencing and some leadership skills
• Experience in configuring and supporting the application deployment process in Enterprise Virtualization Technologies and maintain security in the hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with VMware environments is a plus
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash) along with automation and deployment frameworks (Ansible, Packer, PXE)
• Experience with networking technologies

Educational Requirements

• Experience with storage technologies is a plus
• Ability to work on complex issues where data analysis is required to evaluate and resolve issues
• Ability to develop project plans and schedules to complete complex projects or new product development
• System administration experience with Linux and Windows systems
• Project management experience is a plus
